·        reasons for Japanese advance to Southeast Asia.

 

Specific Instructional Objectives(SIO)

At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

·        distinguish the difference in motives between the Japanese and British in the war in Malaya and Singapore.

·        trace the development of the battle in Malaya and Singapore.

·        appreciate that the loss of Singapore was primarily a result of lack of preparedness and choice and decision.
